I call this post ‘Advert Ready’, but really, the image boxes that this pertains to, could be used for anything. Currently, there are two sets in place.

One set of 4 contains a link to FreshlyPressed and JamesICT – with two left open showing a ‘Place your ad here’ sign.

  • adverts adverts
  • adverts JamesICT
  • The other set contains the RSS feeds and two links to social networking sites, namely, Facebook and Twitter.

    • Facebook RSS Posts
    • RSS Comments Twitter

They are contained within their own files – SE_image_boxes.php and SE_social_networking_image_boxes.php.

The images are set at 75×75 pixels but they could be a bit larger if required. I was contemplating throwing in another option of say 4 x 200 pixel sizes too and this can easily be added if required.

To change the images and links, simply go to the two files mentioned above. As you may have noticed, they are not restricted to the sidebar [take a look at the one in place at the bottom of the front page for instance] and if you would like to use them quite extensively, a simple shortcode could be applied to have them easily working in post and pages as well.

More sets can be made if required.
